Project Brief
Demolition of four large office buildings in Brisbane CBD ranging from 4 – 14 storeys in height. Conducted as principal contractor with responsibility for all planning, development and interactions with stakeholders including council and neighbours.
Mixture of top-down and hi-reach demolition works.
Asbestos removal works, including asbestos mastic which required a full methodology change to a top-down method.
In-ground asbestos contamination of footings/slabs led to a remediation plan to remove them post works.
Full-time air-monitoring undertaken by third party hygienist to ensure safe removal of asbestos throughout the project.
Achieved 100% of Waste and Recyclable Management Plan target (95% recycle by weight).
The project was completed ahead of schedule with no LTI’s and minimal stakeholder issues.
