SAFETY MANAGEMENT
Safety is the responsibility of every individual at Rosenlund Group. Our Health and Safety management system promotes awareness across the organisation from the proposal and design stage of all projects through to practical completion and handover to the client.
The safety of people is non-negotiable. We acknowledge there is no task that is so important or so urgent that it releases the company, its managers, employees or sub-contractors from the responsibility to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
We demonstrate our commitment to safety through leading by example with a documented history of operating safe work sites.
Delivering in excess of $200 million in projects across numerous individual sites, we have achieved minimal Lost Time Injuries (LTI) and zero reportable incidents in these activities over a two-year period.
This success has been achieved through hands-on management of all aspects of our projects and continual process improvement through stakeholder engagement. We will bring the same systems and process to this Project to set the standards and create a culture where safety is a core value to each and every employee.
Rosenlund Values Safety
SAFETY POLICY
Our Safety Policy is a prominent part of the culture of Rosenlund Group. The policy outlines Rosenlund Group commitment to the following.
- Comply with all relevant statutory duties, regulations and codes of practice making adequate provision of resources to meet these requirements
- Provide information, instruction and training for employees to increase personal understanding of workplace hazards and to ensure proper supervision
- Involve employees and sub-contractors in health and safety matters and consult with them in ways to reduce workplace hazards and improve control systems
- Provide support, assistance and resources to ensure an integrated rehabilitation program is provided for all employees who sustain injury or illness
- Set short- and long-term objectives in health and safety management as part of an ongoing action plan and regularly review our performance and the performance of our managers and company personnel against the objectives of this policy.
ZERO HARM POLICY
Rosenlund Group is a team-based organisation and evidence drawn from our experience of almost 50 years suggests that a team-based structure nurtures a commitment to the safety and well-being of colleagues on the job. Experience has also shown us that nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and always keeping safe work practices and “zero harm at work” messages at the forefront of employees’ minds provides a safe and harmonious working environment.
While a perfect safety record is our ultimate objective, incidents are used as a powerful learning tool to reinforce safety behavior. All incidents are recorded in a database, investigated and closed out with the appropriate actions and recommendations recorded. The incident and mitigation measures are disseminated throughout the organisation to prevent the reoccurrence of an incident and to reconfirm our commitment to safety and continuous improvement. These valuable lessons learned also benefit future projects.
PROVEN SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Rosenlund Group Health and Safety procedures are established, proven and an integral part of our company. We integrate these proven systems into the design and delivery of every project. Our Safety Management System has been developed to comply with all Codes and Standards.
Workplace Health and Safety is woven into all our operations. All staff, subcontractors and consultants are familiar with and comply with the provisions of our policies. We are most proud that safety is part of our culture and all our employees at
All levels have a commitment to creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
HEALTH AND WELLBEING
The health and well-being of our employees is critical to ensuring a safe workplace. We have zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol with education and support programs available to ensure our teams remain drug and alcohol- free while on site. Strict programs are in place to manage fatigue and heat stress. Training is provided, highlighting the specific risks of working in a hot and humid climate, and how to manage and avoid heat stress and fatigue.
We have risk identification, mitigation and training mechanisms in place, which can be seamlessly applied to this Project. Through our rigorous Safety Management System, commitment to continuous improvement and vision of zero harm, we plan to set new benchmarks in safety on this project.
We recognise that embracing a supportive safety culture is fundamental to improving sustained health and safety performance. This is both an individual and shared responsibility of all employees, sub-contractors and other persons involved with the operation of the organisation. We continually strive to develop a constantly improving safety culture within our company and on all our projects.
