Project Brief
Rosenlund was contracted to demolish several railway bridges and associated structures between Bald Hill Railway and Strathpine Railway stations over two days. Our works were part of a rail upgrade that involved building a new rail line and new bridges. We had 48 hours (around the clock) to perform our work and we had to ensure we met our program otherwise the entire north coast rail line would have been closed until the works were completed.
10 excavators (from 30-70 tonne) were on site with various demolition implement attachments, many as back-ups should breakdowns occur. The key to the success of the project was the pre-planning. Building in redundancy, was paramount. The works were completed 4 hours in front of our program.
